I have found that innovation is created by the clash of perspectives and ideas. For ten years I worked as a Ph.D. research scientist in the field of human Immunology. Now, I am a designer, applying the rigors and organization of science into the tangible world of design. By fusing a science background with design, a clash of perspectives embodies my design process and belief.
Throughout my career I have participated actively in collaboration. Groundbreaking scientific discoveries rarely occur in isolation, they involve many players with unique expertise working in unison. Similarly, innovative design occurs from the clash created when designers bring their unique perspectives and skills together.
As a designer, I have led several multidisciplinary design teams. Using a process that integrates human-centered research, storytelling and scenario building, I have worked with companies and organizations to design systems that encourage group collaboration, habit change, communication and increased happiness.
